About Film And Television Institute Of India

भारत सरकारने 1960 च्या काळात पुण्यातील पूर्वीच्या प्रभात स्टूडियोच्या आवारात FILM & Telivision Institute of India (FTII) ची स्थापना केली होती FTII सध्या पूर्वीच्या प्रभात स्टुडिओ मैदानावर उभा आहे. प्रभात स्टुडिओ हा चित्रपट निर्मिती व्यवसायात अग्रगण्य होता आणि 1933 मध्ये तो कोल्हापुर मधून पुणे येथे स्थलांतरित झाला प्रभातच्या चित्रपटासाठी त्यावेळेचे पुरातन स्टुडिओ आजही अस्तीत्वात आहेत.

आणि ते FTII मध्ये वापरले जात आहे प्रभातचे जुने स्टुडिओ आता Heritage Structure बनले आहेत आणि FTII चे विद्यार्थी जगातील सर्वात जुन्या फिल्म शूटिंग स्टुडिओमध्ये काम करत आहेत Film & Telivison istitute of india (FTII) ची स्थापना सन 1960 मध्ये झाली आणि पूर्वी फिल्म इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया म्हणून जायची हा भारत सरकारच्या महिती आणि प्रसारण मंतरलयाचा एक विभाग होता.

मंत्रालयाच्या अंतर्गत एक सायत्त संस्था

1971 मध्ये FTII फिल्म अँड टेलिव्हिजन इंडिया म्हणून ओळखू जाऊ लागले आणि भारतातील सार्वजनिक प्रसारक दूरदर्शनसाठी सेवा कार्यक्रम सुरू केले.पूर्वी नवी दिल्ली येथे कार्यरत असलेली दूर चित्रवाणी प्रशिक्षण शाखा 1974 मध्ये पुण्यात स्थलांतरित झाली त्यानंतर संस्थेला माहिती प्रसारण मंत्रालायचे सहाय्य मिळाले नावात बदलाबरोबरच FTII ही माहिती आणि प्रसारण मंत्रालयाच्या अंतर्गत एक सायत्त संस्था बनली जी गव्हर्निंग कौन्सिल व तिच्या नियुक्त संचालकाद्वारे चालवली जाते.

सध्या FTII जगभरातील ऑडिओ विज्युअल मीडियामधील उत्कृष्ठतेचे केंद्र व भारतामधील सर्वोत्तम चित्रपट संस्थापैकी एक म्हणून ओळखली जाते तेथील माजी विद्यार्थी परदेशात लॉस एंजेलास,पॅरिस ते लंडन व मुंबई, हैदराबाद, चेन्नई, आणि कोलकत्ता त्यांनी लोक प्रियता मिळवली आहे. व कुशल तंत्रज्ञ आणि सुपरस्टार म्हणून विविध नाव कमावले आहे माजी विद्यार्थ्यांना ‘राष्ट्रीय चित्रपट पुरस्कार’ ऑस्कर, दादासाहेब फाळके प्रतिष्ठित ‘पद्म पुरस्कार’ पुरस्कार लोकप्रिय चित्रपट आणि दूरदर्शन पुरस्कार जिंकले आहे.
